changed my life
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have been using the NeilMed Sinus rinse for 3 years now. I used to always suffer with sinus problems for weeks out of every year from allergies and colds. Now, I use the kit 1-2 times daily around allergy season, after exposure to dust, and after being in dry conditions, like long car trips.

When I first saw the kit in my local drugstore, I was skeptical about paying so much for what was essentially a squeeze bottle and salt packets. Now I am hooked. The system is easy to use and extremely effective. The kit comes with documentation that clearly explains everything you need to know. It takes maybe 10 or 15 minutes to read through it, the cleaning instructions are especially important.

Bottom Line: Sinus rinsing has changed my life. If you suffer from sinus problems, give NeilMed a try!

This is a wonderful product. I have suffered from sinus infections for years.. Every cold I get inevitably lingers around in my sinuses for weeks causing extremely uncomfortable pressure. I began using the neti pot when a hippie friend suggested it. It helped relieve the pressure but it was awkward and even though I knew the angle my head was supposed to be at, in order to use it correctly, I ended up swallowing salt water at least half the time. Also, it was was hard to get the salt ratio figured out and it tended to burn my nose. THIS product is AMAZING!! My husband had a cold last week and I got him one to help clear his head out. He’s hooked!! He now uses it every morning in the shower. When I saw how much gunk it got out of his sinuses I ran to the store to get myself one. There’s no awkward angle to crane your neck to, no burning sensation, no guess work! You simply bend over the sink and it does all the work. I have used it atleast 5 times and have yet to swallow any water! This 2 pack is a great deal! I paid $10.50 (plus tax) for a single bottle with 50 packets at my local discount store. This product is a no brainer for anyone with allergies, a cold or flu, or lingering stuffiness from last week’s cold. Try it! You will be amazed!!

Effective nasal rinse

This neilmed nasal rinse is so easy to use. Just as described. I started with a smaller kit and liked it so well I got this one with additional bottles and more packets.

THIS WORKS VERY WELL

I only recently learned of the existence of this product after using an infant nasal aspirator for over 35 years. This is a very effective product and much easier to use than the nasal aspirator. If you also buy the NasaDock, you can invert the nasal bottle to ease the drying process. If you suffer from stuffy sinuses, this product should work very well for you and help provide much needed relief.

BREATHE BETTER AND PREVENT COLDS
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve suffered with sinus problems, allergies and colds for most of my life. In 2005, I began using NeilMed Sinus rinse twice a day. I’ve not had a cold since. After four years of daily use, my first bottle finally sprang a leak. It takes about 16 moderate squeezes to empty the 8 oz. bottle. That comes to approximately 44,720 squeezes in 4 years. Not bad at all. For those of you who wish to save money, mixing your own rinse is simple. Here’s my recipe developed after a good bit of research and testing:

A 52 oz. tea pitcher makes enough solution for about 6 rinses.

2 measuring teaspoons of salt. Use Kosher salt, sea salt or pickling-and-canning salt.

1 measuring teaspoon of baking soda.

Before rinsing, warm the mixture in the squeeze bottle (WITHOUT THE NOZZLE) with 2 quick bursts in the microwave careful not to overheat and damage the bottle. Two ten-second bursts work better than one twenty-second burst. It keeps hot spots from forming on the bottle.

I’ve never owned two microwaves that heated exactly the same.

Shooting cold water inside one’s skull can be a real headache. Scalding water is worse.

Rinsing any time of day after doing a dusty or dirty job, especially in pollen season, makes breathing and life in general a lot more pleasant.

Additional note: Many health professionals are now recommending saline sinus rinses as one method to help prevent the H1N1 Virus. Since an adequate supply of Swine Flu vaccine might not be available until late 2010, salt and baking soda rinses seem like a viable alternative.

Excellent!

I’ve heard so many good things about the NeilMed Sinus Rinse. I’m a believer now too. It helped my sinuses (excess mucous, allergies, dry nose) after just two days of using it. If you suffer from allergies, it’s a must.
