Best Neti Pot I have used Rating:5 out of 5 stars I have a had a few ceramic Neti pots, and each time have broke them due to a fall. So, I like the plastic of this one.
The “horn” design also seems to work very well.
I like the measuring spoon that comes with it, since I simply use non-iodized salt for the rinse.
flimsy plastic with a vg design Rating:2 out of 5 stars Though this neti pot came exactly as shown in the pictures at Amazon, you should know 2 things before you put down your money on it: the molded plastic is as cheap and flimsy as you can imagine, with an obnoxious coarse seam running through the entire neti pot. The whole thing is very light, cheap and tacky, like something you’d win as a booby prize at a carnival. Secondly, when I went to use it I actually cut my nose a bit because the manufacturer hadn’t even bothered to sand down the sharp edges from the molding process. If the company insists on charging $12+ for this item, why not take the effort and make it with a more substantial amount of plastic and then also sand the edges?
Bottom line, it’s a very good design but the company that sells it must be laughing all the way to the bank on this one. Maybe 3 cents worth of plastic.
oh, and they give you a plastic spoon for the salt (gee thanks)
Not a kit, not two pieces Rating:1 out of 5 stars The picture shows two neti pots, one red and one blue. The item is described as a kit. Neither are what you get. Although this item is priced at twice as much as single unit similar items, you do not get two pots, as pictured. Nothing in the description states you don’t get the two pots. And although this is described as a kit, it’s just a pot and a measuring spoon. While Neti Pots might be great, this product is a poor value and the description is deceptive.
Works, but only so-so in my opinion. Rating:3 out of 5 stars This was advertised as a complete kit. The instructions were good and the measuring spoon was included but there was no salt in the kit. If the kit had been complete, it would have included salt, in my opinion. The instructions say not to use iodized salt, which is all that is in my kitchen, so I had to buy salt before I could use the neti pot.
It is plastic so it won’t break, and the shape is easy to handle.
I had no problems using the neti pot but I expected better results from some of the other reviews I had read. Maybe I just have stubborn sinuses. The instructions say use it once or twice a day but in about one hour, I am stuffed up again.
While it gives me some relief, it is not long lasting.
easy to use and effective Rating:5 out of 5 stars I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get the water to flow in and out easily. The instructions were simple but explained the technique well enough so that it worked on the first try. I found that adding a pinch of baking soda to the water before flushing took the mild ‘sting’ out of the salt. I have already nipped one cold in the bud using this together with Zicam.
Great product, very well designed Neti Pot! Rating:5 out of 5 stars Yes, I am one of those people who first learned about the Neti Pot on the Oprah show with Dr. Oz. I have had terrible congestion and phlegm issues this past summer. I decided after trying a couple over the counter allergy meds, that it was time to buy a Neti Pot. I’ll admit I was nervous to use it at first. The thought of pouring water into your nose was a bit scary. The directions provided are very good and put my mind at ease. I tried it and at first it’s a weird sensation but now I can’t go a day without using it. It’s great! I chose this Neti Pot because it looked the most ergonomic and it’s plastic. I am very happy using it! The only thing I would change is, I think there should be a line to mark when you’ve put in the 300 ml of water that are suggested in the directions. I wanted to be precise so I measured it, using a measuring cup. No big deal.
I have been telling everyone I know about this great product. Highly recommend!!!
Rhino Horn Neti Pot Rating:5 out of 5 stars I gave a Rhino Horn neti pot to my son as a stocking stuffer-to unstuff his nose and keep his sinuses clear. I decided to get one for myself because it looked easy to use (and easier to hold onto than other neti pots I had seen) when rinsing out the dust, pollens etc. I had never used a neti pot prior to buying The Rhino, but it is now part of my morning routine. So refreshing. I purchased the kit because it included the salt measuring “spoon”; I use a fine sea salt that I get at Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods.
Easiest use Neti Pot Rating:5 out of 5 stars I’ve used other neti pots, but the rhino horn’s shape makes this pot the easiest to use, by far. The shape of the horn forces the water into the nasal passage much more quickly and forcefully so that you don’t have to lean or tip the pot or your head so much. It just makes for a more natural flow into and out of the nasal passages.
Clean and Uncongested! Rating:5 out of 5 stars I have never heard of a Neti Pot before the Oprah show. I was horribly congested and bought one. I now use it all the time, especially with my allergies. With the salt mixture, it really helps clear out your nasal passages immediately. I had to use it a few times a day when I was really congested, but it beats the soreness of a constant handkerchief. This is an old time remedy that has, fortunately, been made popular again.
