5 stars for the pot

I like the pot. It’s the only ceramic neti pot I’ve found that holds a full 8 oz. cup. The spout is nice and smooth, unlike some of the plastic ones that have seams. The only improvement I’d suggest would be a measuring line inside it to tell you when you’ve got a full cup — or to make it clear instead of ceramic, and put the measuring line on the outside. (I wonder why they don’t make clear ones). This pot is a pale green color, which I didn’t notice when I ordered it because of my computer monitor’s calibration.

I’m not quite so fond of the aromatic salt. I haven’t decided if I like the smell or not. It’s not floral and it’s not exactly medicinal. It sort of reminds me of some scented cleaning solution I bought. It’s not unpleasant, and leaves a light, clean scent behind, but it’s not a smell I associate with “aromatherapy.”

Another problem I had with the salt is that you’re supposed to measure it using the cap of the bottle. But if you do that, the grains get stuck in the screw threads of the lid. The mouth of the bottle is too small to fit a measuring spoon through. And if you pour from the bottle, some of the salt grains tend to fly up (from static) and get on the counter, the floor, etc. They weigh less than regular salt and tend to go further once airborne. I solved this problem by pouring the salt into another container and using a measuring spoon.
