Good product, good value.

I live in a VERY dry climate. I am constantly getting bloody noses. The neti pot has really help heal up my nose. Follow the directions and do the dorky exercises and you will get ALL the water out. Highly recommend this for anyone in a dry climate, or with allergies.

Neti Pot is Great!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered the Neti Pot after seeing the product on Dr. Oz. I was nervous about how it actually worked. After trying a few times, I got it to work correctly and it was well worth the time. I have allergies and according to the package should use the Neti Pot more often. I only use it once a day before bed and sleep well. I have recommended this produce to my family and friends.

This product works very well for me. I was also pleased with the transaction itself. The item was packaged well and shipped quickly.

It Really Works!!!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve been hearing about this thing for the past year or so and recently some people have recommended it to me because of my year-long allergies. I was at the end of my rope and decided to overcome my fear of drowning and buy a Neti Pot. It was so worth it! It’s so easy to do and clears my head. I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks, but the difference is so pronounced! It can’t hurt to try and I guarantee you’ll love it!!!

Perfect starter kit
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This starter kit contains everything you need to get going. I went for the kit over the single pot because I didn’t want the hassle of searching for the right kind of salt, and wanted directions on how to use it right away. The little ceramic pot is cute and sturdy, the salt will certainly last a while, and the bonus (besides instructions) is the herbal extract liquid dropper addition.

The only con is that, while all the items are made in the USA, the ceramic pot is not, it’s made in China. Also, the liquid dropper leaves a very sour smell in your nose for a little while after the cleansing. At first I thought my whole house smelled and I could finally tell it reaked! But my husband also had a similar experience while still in another room using the neti pot with the herbal extract liquid.

Overall, a great, ancient tool to clear the sinuses. GIVE IT A TRY! What do you have to lose? It’s not terribly comfortable or fun, but the results are great. And if you hate it that much, you can always just season your food with the salt, and water your plants with the pot.

One Scoop of Salt Will Do
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It works and only one scoop of the salt is necessary. More than that will sting. Follow the instructions regarding the positioning of your head while cleaning your nostril. Otherwise, it DOES go to the back of the throat. Be consistent in use to maintain clear sinuses.

Took a few tries
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Read the instructions carefully for the amount of salt to add. I made a mistake and used way too much, ouch! I was also so severely congested, I had to use the neti pot a couple times to get results. Since then, I try to use it as needed and it seems to really help. Received the product in a decent amount of time.

once I was brave enough to try it, I was hooked
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I first tried my spouse’s Neti Pot and after a few tries, I was sold and had to get my own (so that we wouldn’t have to sterilize between uses). It was a really great way to clear up the congestion from my cold, and I’m convinced the misery of my cold was over faster due to the Neti Pot. Before trying it, I was always scared of this idea of pouring anything through my nose. If you’ve ever snorted anything through your nose with laughter, you know how it can burn. Done correctly, there is no burning with the neti pot. In fact, once you get used to the unusual sensation, it can feel soothing and relaxing. At times, it does bring back memories of swimming underwater however. One thing you do have to be careful about is accidentally swallowing the salt-water concoction. On my first try, I somehow ended up with a lot of water going down my throat. I do not want to be graphic, so let’s just say it didn’t stay down there. However, that never happened again after I figured out how to use the product.

The instruction manual is extensive, but if you need more information, you can google neti pot and get a lot of tips.

IT WORKS
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The starter kit comes with everything you need. I have suffered with sinus problems for over 25 years. This Neti Pot really works. I bought this at the end of my last sinus infection. It helped to clear my head and get rid of the infection. All without drugs! I use it on a regular basis now and am breathing easier for the first time in a long time.

Strange feeling, but worth it!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have known about the Neti idea for a long time, but yeah, it was Oprah and Oz that lit a fire under my butt. I have had a cold and then sinus congestion for four months, so finally got my order in. The first thing I can say is that this is an absolutely beautiful little kit, packaged just perfectly for giving as a gift. I loved the quality and design of the pot itself, and the good size of the salt and zinc drops. The instructions are simple but adequate. As some people say it takes a try or two to get all the angles right and not panic when you feel water filling up your passages. (Anyone who didn’t like to dive in swimming classes will know what I mean!). On top of that, I couldn’t get it to work the first time because my sinuses were so impacted the water actually could not flow all the way through! So I did what I could from each side, and was kinda disgusted by the ‘stuff’ that it loosened up..later I tried it again and got a little further with the process. It was hard to believe but I felt better and the next day when I tried it again, there was already enough improvement for it to work perfectly on both nostrils. I am already convinced this is the answer I have been looking for, and just wish I had not waited so long to get started! We should all be doing our neti, right along with brushing our teeth…then maybe we wouldn’t need a blue zillion cold and sinus products taking up a whole isle in the grocery stores!

Sidelining the sniffles
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve had allergies for as long as I can remember. I guess you could call them seasonal allergies, but they never completely go away. At worst, they make me sneeze and itch, cause my eyes to water, and give me a headache. (That’s when I take Clariton-D.)

At best, my only symptom is sniffling, and I end up blowing my nose a lot (probably about 10 times a day). It doesn’t really bother me, except when I wake up in the morning to sing. I’ve typically cleared things out with a warm shower and hot tea, but I recently discovered a new tool that I love – the neti pot.

Yogis have been using neti pots for millennia to clear their nasal passages prior to yoga and meditation. The practice is gaining popularity in the West as one of a few alternative treatments that has been endorsed by the medical establishment for treating allergies, colds, and sinusitis. Here’s a brief summary of the concepts behind it:

* The nasal passages act as the body’s air filtering system, keeping dirt, dust, germs, and pollen from entering the airways. Nasal cleansing is like changing (or at least cleaning) the body’s air filters.

* When nasal mucus gets thick, dry, thin, or runny, “it is easier for bacteria and viruses to penetrate the nasal lining and cause the swelling and excess discharge of mucus we call a ‘cold’” (according to the Himalayan Institute).

* Running warm saline solution through the nasal passages can treat and prevent sinus problems, colds, allergies, and post-nasal drip and counteract the effect of environmental pollution.

Using the neti pot is simple, if a bit unsavory:

* Add warm water and 1/4 teaspoon non-iodized salt to pot.

* Standing over sink, tilt head to one side and pour solution into one nostril as it flows out through the other.

* Remove pot and blow air out through each nostril.

* Repeat process on opposite side.

When I first got my neti pot, I hated it. I had read wonderful things about it and expected more than the uncomfortable feeling of salt water up my nose! However, I’ve now been using it for about a month, and it really is amazing.

My nasal passages feel much cleaner and clearer, and I blow my nose far less often. In fact, I recently got the flu (complete with a horrible sore throat and swollen vocal cords), but my nasal passages stayed surprisingly clear. I use the neti pot every day, but some people prefer to use it “as needed” following a cold, after air travel, or during pollen season.

relief for a few hours

I live in an area where there are an exceptionally high number of allergy sufferers. The neti pot worked as advertised, but I and a friend both felt congested again within a few hours.

Helpful product, zinc-free wash would be nice
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The kit is a nice introduction to using a nasal wash system. Detailed instructions are provided. I like this particular pot because the spout/opening is wider than many of the plastic, drug store neti pots I’ve previously used, so no worries of poking and hurting my nose or water leakage.

My one concern is with the zinc nasal wash. There is some concern that intra-nasal use of zinc can cause anosmia, or the inability to detect smells. That might sound minor, but not being able to smell smoke or determine if your food is stale is no joke. Much of the concern was in regard to Zicam products, which uses zinc gluconate. The neti wash uses zinc acetate. I think it’s best to use the wash only when you’re experiencing cold symptoms. It would be nice, though, to see the zinc-free wash included in future kits. Overall, I’m pleased with the product.

Extremly effective for sinus problems. Even if you are not sinus medication, you can use it!

Little secret; after you do Neti for couple of weeks, you notice significant decrese in dark circle under your eye!!

I could not believe the difference this product has made. I used to suffer from allergies. I took one Allegra and a spray of Nasacort every day. Now I take nothing. I use this product once to twice a week and it really works!!

Make breathing easy EASY!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Not as strange a feeling as I expected when I tried this product… it was really quite easy and not uncomfortable at all. I was definitely pleased with the results! You don’t realize how much better you can smell things until you try it with clean sinuses. The kit has everything you need to get going for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this, especially for those with allergy or sinus problems. I suffer from neither, however, and have also benefitted from using the Neti pot.

It does work on my sinuses quite nicely. When I did use the pot for the first time it did feel odd to have water flowing out of my nose (that and it didn’t help it was to warm). If you get over the 0_o feeling it works wonders.

Nothing to measure the salt
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Neti Pot – but the salt doesnt’ come with a measuring spoon, so unless you want to steal the 1/4 tsp from your kitchen it’s tough to use this salt in the shower. The individual packets are better.

Great intro kit
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Before getting this kit, I tried cleaning my sinuses with plain old table salt and an oversized eyedropper sort of thing I had around. And it was torture. This kit provides all the right tools to perform this practice as safely and comfortably as possible. There’s also a very clear, helpful guide that talks about everything from how much salt to mix with the water to tips for breathing while pouring water up your nose.

Yes, it feels a little like you’re drowning at first. But it gets easier over time, and this kit really helps.

If I had one tiny complaint, it would be that I think they suggest just mixing it up right in the pot. When I do that, I often have trouble making sure all the salt dissolves fully. It only takes one round of undissolved salt in your nose (Think ocean water up your nose!) to help you remember to really dissolve the salt every time. So I have gone back to mixing it in a clear glass container, then pouring it in.

Neti pot rocks!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This Neti pot sinus cleansing kit has delivered more relief than anything I’ve ever tried for my nasal allergies. Wouldn’t be without it. At night I can breathe freely through my nose – something I could not say prior to my regular use of this Neti pot kit. My doctor advised me to try this (she also prescribed Flonase, which I take at night). If you have ongoing problems with nasal inflammation and congestion, give this a try.

wow I can even hear better
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was having a lot of trouble with allergies and several friends recommended a neti pot. Being at wits end, I decided to bite the bullet and order this set. It took me a few days to actually get over the odd idea of pouring water into my nose, but eventually the allergies were just too great.

Anyway, the first time I used this, I put in the recommended amount of salt – this was way too much. As another reviewer mentioned, you want to cut the amount of salt in half otherwise your nasal passages will burn with the pain of a thousand fiery suns. This is not a desired result.

Getting my head into the right position seemed second nature – the directions were pretty descriptive and easy to follow. However one should take care and remember to tilt the head otherwise the water will go down your throat.

But the strangest and best thing, for me, was what happened after. My ears started popping as the sinus cavity cleared. This and of itself isn’t strange however my tinnitus (light but present) went away for a little while after! In fact I found that by using the neti pot every day, my tinnitus, while still there, was greatly lessened.

I don’t know if this is common, but I’m quite happy with the purchase.
